//02 CONTEXT

Context

Connected mobility is not a single application. It is an ecosystem spanning the vehicle, embedded connectivity, mobile and web experiences, identity, integration services, operational support and partner platforms.

The architecture therefore had to treat the customer journey and the underlying technology estate as one connected system rather than a collection of isolated channels.

//03 CHALLENGE

Challenge

The central challenge was coordinating multiple technology domains and delivery parties while preserving clear ownership, secure integration and a consistent customer experience.

Vehicle events needed to move reliably into digital and enterprise services without coupling every participating system directly to every other system.

//04 ARCHITECTURE

Architecture

The target architecture separated experience, service, integration and connected-device concerns. Stable interfaces created boundaries between vehicle data, digital channels and enterprise capabilities, while shared identity and operational controls provided cross-cutting consistency.

This created an architecture that could evolve individual services without repeatedly redesigning the entire connected ecosystem.

//05 TRANSFORMATION

Transformation

Architecture work was translated into delivery decisions, interface contracts and reusable patterns so product teams could move from concept to implementation with less ambiguity.

The result was a platform-oriented model in which new connected services could reuse common capabilities rather than create parallel technology stacks.

//06 OUTCOME

Outcome

The programme established a coherent foundation for connected services and demonstrated how enterprise architecture can operate as an active delivery discipline rather than a documentation exercise.
